A diamond & coral set brooch.
A well executed merge of period & modern era styles.
This brooch was originaly a victorian diamond set brooch, it was then converted in the 1950's into what it is now by adding the coral beads and modern cut diamonds to resemble a bunch of grapes.
The conversion has been superbly done and the two pieces sit perfectly together.
The top half is set with over 100 small old cut diamonds in a leafy style. The bottom half set with 20 (7mm) pieces of cabochon coral which has 6 has brilliant cut diamonds integrated within.
All metal work made of high carat gold.
The 2 halves can be separated with the turn of a screw and the top half can be used as a brooch alone.
With its original fitted box.
